Everyday Art 1820-1860  
     Our classes and talks are held at two historic sites in an atmosphere of the period. Exchange ideas, ask questions and enjoy yourself while being introduced to an Everyday Art of the period.     Each class will give you an overview of the art, hands on instruction and example to take home.

     There will also be scheduled talks on related subjects and ongoing demonstrations....a lot to enjoy in the rural setting of Switzerland County, Indiana.

VENOGE    Visit one of the few remaining examples of French colonial architecture that once characterized the first settlement of Switzerland County. Explore history in this French-Swiss cottage, ca. 1805-15.

THIEBAUD FARMSTEAD    The two-story frame Greek Revival house built by Justi and Mary Thiebaud for their family of 10 children was built in the late 1850s. The house is restored to reflect life up to 1865.
